The Getzen Trombone is a product of years of expertise of a number of generations of trombone makers who currently are associated with the world famous Edwards Trombone.
This technology filters down to even the most basic level of instrument manufacture making the Getzen trombone among the most respected instrument in the industry.
Two very important features in any trombone are: the resonance of the bell which is derived from the custom spinning techniques used, and the slide manufacture which over the years has never produced one reject slide delivered from the factory. Surely a testament to Getzen's quality control.
This trombone comes in both the blow moulded case and the propack presentation. The development of the propack now ensures the owner of a Getzen trombone, that the instrument will be protected to a factor of 3 to 4 times compared with the old fashioned blow moulded packaging, so often seen.
Don't you hate to see a creased bell coming out of a trombone case (big money for the repair ! )
The trombone itself is a very free blowing and smooth sliding instrument made to exacting standards, providing the player with a means of expression with the big fat tone found normally in the Getzen trombones.
